Analysis:
This little spot seems promising: real Mexicans assembling the burritos, savory smoke billowing from behind the grill, and a long line of hungry commuters—all the sure signs of a great taqueria. However, the hard data comes up lackluster. The ingredients are fare, but the overall taste is somewhat bland and I usually get a little quesy afterwards.
Still, it's in a very convenient location, and the temptation to stop in is usually too great to pass up when going through burrito withdrawl.—Burrito Joe, Burritobot Editor-in-Chief

Score: 7.5 | Reviewer: djhalon "Ask for avocado instead of guac" "With the leaving of Botana from the lower Haight, El Castillito has become the LHC's main burrito bar. Overall the burrito is solid, but the selling point is the salsa verde. Side note: they don't mention it on the menu, but if you ask for avocado instead of guac they will hook you up just right."
Score: 7.5 | Reviewer: SF Clown "The best pastor, hands down" "The Burritueros at El Castillito know how to make a great burrito: from the grilled tortilla and meat to the fresh avocado. Many taquerias can boast that: but Catillito stands out. Because even before Botana left the Lower Haight, Castillito reigned for its pastor. That's right, the gooey looking rack of pork, rotating in front of a heater for god-knows-how-long, with fat dripping off it and a couple of onions thrown on top for flare: After lengua, pastor is the mark of a great taqueria."
Score: 7.5 | Reviewer: kyre "hit or miss" "This place does rock when they want to. Consistency isn't something they've got though. The Salsa verde can be perfect (spicy with substance) or crappy (watery and bland) The best time to go are the busiest times because you'll get a consistently good rito. If you go off peak hours you'll get oldish ingredients and a cold grill. "
Score: 7.5 | Reviewer: alisa "Just Alright" "Many people name this as their favorite. I wonder - what's wrong with these people? Have they not tried any other burritos? I live one block from this burrito and only when I am unspeakably lazy will I give in and eat here. Each time I end up holding my bloated belly moaning why, why... It's not that this is such a bad burrito, its just not that great either. "
